I love the journey of self discovery and growth, finding new possibilities within ourselves and learning that as much as our past determines who we are, we have the opportunity to steer our lives in a fulfilling direction. I work best with someone who is curious about themselves. I find myself most comfortable in deep conversations about how we relate to others and how our thoughts and past emotional experiences shape the way we see the world and affect our daily lives. My approach is all about discovering and using that which has determined us to improve.
I have expertise in Complex Trauma, Narcissistic Abuse, Perinatal Grief, Adolescents and Emerging adults, Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Issues and Personality Disorders. I mainly draw from Freudian and Lacanian Psychoanalysis and Existential Psychotherapy as well as Trauma and Attachment Theories. My approach can also be understood from Narrative Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. The main goal of my approach is to broaden your knowledge of yourself, the strategies you use to avoid anxiety or suffering in order to evaluate how they influence your inter and intrapersonal life. With me, you can embark on a journey towards deeper understanding to a place where you will be able to make well informed decisions about the direction of your life and your relationships.
The most challenging part of therapy is opening oneself to the idea that we do not know everything about ourselves, and therapy is a place to construct, deconstruct and reconstruct pieces of our own history that hurt and have left a mark on us. I consider the therapeutic relationship as my main tool. Through it, I can help you get a glimpse of how certain dynamics work in your life both here and now and in the past. Together, we will gain insight into the things that define you and the way your mind operates, thus allowing you to obtain a clear vision of your emotional and psychological workings.

I have completed the SNAP program and have completed over 100 hours of continuing education in topics such as Interpersonal Violence, Intimate Partner Violence, Trauma, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and I completed the James T. McLaughlin Program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center. I can offer a safe place to unpack and process feelings and experiences and to learn how these influence their current mood and behaviors. I like being able to help people learn about themselves and develop beyond what they thought possible after narcissistic abuse.
